Arsenal bid farewell to club legend Beth Mead

Arsenal have announced that club legend Beth Mead will leave at the end of the season after having first joined in 2017.
Mead arrived at Arsenal from Sunderland and went on to lift numerous trophies with the club over her 263 appearances in which she has found the net 86 times.
During her time with the Gunners, Mead has won one WSL title, three League Cups, and last season's Champions League as well as the inaugural Women's Champions Cup earlier this year.
As well as her medals, Mead was named as the club's Player of the Season for the 2021/22 season having also been named England's Player of the Year and finished as a runner-up for the Ballon d'Or.
"Beth has made a huge contribution to our football club over nine years, and will go down in history as one of our best forwards and a legend of the club," Arsenal Director of Women's Football, Clare Wheatley said.
"Beth is such a special person and will always be welcome at Arsenal. I know our supporters will join me in wishing Beth happiness and success in her future endeavours."
