As per a report published by Italian outlet Tuttosport, Arsenal are eyeing a potential move for Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram next summer as the Premier League club looks to strengthen its offensive line ahead of the new season.

Marcus Thuram signed for Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer. Since then, he has established himself as one of the most clinical strikers across the globe. His consistently impressive performances have attracted interest from multiple clubs.

Thuram has already netted 14 goals and provided eight assists in 32 games in the ongoing campaign so far. He is averaging 1.9 shots, 1 key pass, and 0.7 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).

The French attacker is versatile enough to don the striker clothes or even feature on the wings. He is an excellent dribbler and clinical with his finishes around the penalty box. He also links up well with his teammates apart from marking an aerial presence.

Marcus Thuram has a massive release clause

Arsenal have a competitive squad but they lack a provincial striker up front. There is growing concern over the consistency of Kai Havertz and the long-term injury to Gabriel Jesus has made things worse. It’s evident that the club needs to bring a new striker at their disposal.

Unsurprisingly, the Gunners have set their eyes on Marcus Thuram. The proven striker can help Mikel Arteta’s side be more dangerous in the final third. His qualities up front will surely help them compete for titles more closely.

However, the 27-year-old has a release clause of €85 million, which seems a bit unrealistic to match. Reportedly, Inter Milan are ready to offload the striker for around €70 million but it remains to be seen if Arsenal are willing to offer that much or wishes to negotiate further.
