Arsenal are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the summer transfer window, according to the Independent journalist Miguel Delaney.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen the Gunners’ attack and is keen on bringing the Georgian to the Emirates Stadium club.
While PSG are expected to play hardball over any potential deal, Kvaratskhelia’s representatives are understood to be open to the idea of him joining the North Londoners.
Arsenal have been investigating whether a deal for the 25-year-old is possible this summer and a major sale is expected at the club as they look to balance the books.
Kvaratskhelia has been involved in 21 goals across all competitions having weighed in with 12 goals and nine assists.
He is one of the best attackers in the game right now and signing such a player will be huge for the Gunners.
The former Napoli star has what it takes to improve the Arsenal attack and recruiting him would boost their chances of regularly winning major trophies.
Getting a deal over the line for him would be tricky given his importance to the reigning Champions League winners, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners would be willing to go all out for him.
Arsenal are always willing to improve their squad and are expected to splash the cash again in the summer transfer window.
A proven goalscorer like Kvaratskhelia will come in handy and more targets in the position will emerge in the coming weeks.
A player in his mould could have made a huge difference in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday.
Arsenal attackers struggled to break down the Man City defence and could do with creative forwards with the ability to unlock difficult systems.
