It is only Arsenal’s second-ever appearance in the final of Europe’s elite cup competition and while they are considered underdogs against the holders, manager Mikel Arteta is confident his side can write a new chapter in the club’s history.

After wrapping up the Premier League season with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, the Gunners head to the Puskas Arena in good form and high spirits, aiming to become the ‘unforgettables’.

In a boost ahead of the Champions League final, Mikel Merino is in contention after returning from injury against Palace.

However, on a negative note for the Gunners, Noni Madueke was forced off in the second half at Selhurst Park, thus placing his availability for the Champions League final in serious doubt.

With that in mind, here is the latest Arsenal injury news and return dates…

Noni Madueke

Madueke’s involvement against PSG could now be in doubt after his outing at Crystal Palace came to an end shortly before the final whistle.

The forward, who has also been named in the England World Cup squad, was clutching his left hamstring upon receiving treatment from the Arsenal medical staff.

He did get back to his feet and was able to walk over to the sideline before being replaced by Viktor Gyokeres.

There is yet to be an update regarding the severity of the injury, though Standard Sport understands Madueke was not hobbling before or after the Premier League trophy celebrations.

Arsenal are facing a crisis at right-back heading into the Champions League final as it is now over two months since Jurrien Timber last played.

The defender was forced off in the 2-0 win over Everton on March 14 and has subsequently missed the last 14 games in all competitions with a groin problem that also saw him withdraw from the Netherlands squad for games against Norway and Ecuador.

Timber though, has "hope" that he will return from injury in time to potentially come up against Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Major doubt: Jurrien Timber

Asked if there was a chance he could be back to play in Budapest, Timber said: "Hopefully, yes. There's hope, but like I said, we'll see.

“I'm working really hard, I'm trying really hard, and obviously playing in the Champions League final is a dream.

“So I will give everything, and with the World Cup as well, but obviously, first the Champions League final. It's going to be amazing anyway.”

Ben White will not be available for the Champions League final after being substituted midway through the first half against West Ham as he challenged with Crysencio Summerville.

The defender, required lengthy treatment and Arteta suggested afterwards that the injury is a concerning one.

Arsenal have since confirmed that the defender suffered a “significant” injury to his medial ligament (MCL), which will see White miss the remainder of the campaign.

In a ray of positivity, Standard Sport understands that the 28-year-old will not need to have surgery on his knee. He will instead undergo a managed rehabilitation process over the coming weeks.

It is hoped that White will return in time for pre-season, easing fears of an extended absence leading into the 2026-27 campaign.
