Arsenal are monitoring Nottingham Forest defender Murillo closely as the Brazilian continues to deliver consistent performances in the Premier League. His steady rise in form has made him one of the most reliable figures in Forest’s back line, and his progress has not gone unnoticed by top clubs.
Since his arrival, Murillo has become one of Forest’s standout performers, helping them establish a reputation for defensive solidity. Last season, the side proved difficult to break down, with several players impressing across the defensive unit. Even so, Murillo distinguished himself with commanding displays, earning widespread recognition for his maturity and composure.
His contributions were vital in helping Forest secure European football, with their qualification for the Europa League marking a significant achievement for the club. Understandably, Forest were unwilling to part with their key players, and their refusal to negotiate ensured Murillo remained an integral part of the squad despite interest from elsewhere.

That stance has not discouraged admirers from continuing to follow his development. According to Football Insider, Arsenal are among the clubs monitoring the 23-year-old closely. The Gunners strengthened their defensive options with two signings in the summer, but they are reportedly prepared to further reinforce at the end of the current campaign.
Murillo’s profile as a composed, ball-playing defender fits the style Mikel Arteta has sought to instil at Arsenal. His presence would not only add depth to the back line but also introduce greater competition among existing options. For a side competing across multiple fronts, such qualities are highly valuable.
While Forest’s resistance to selling him remains firm, the persistent interest of elite clubs suggests further transfer speculation is likely as the season progresses. Arsenal’s willingness to invest in young, high-potential players may eventually lead them to test Forest’s resolve.
