Arsenal rule out move for Real Madrid forward struggling for minutes – report | OneFootball

Rodrygo is one of the players facing an uncertain future at Real Madrid as we near the January transfer window.

The Brazilian international, who was widely expected to become the next Vinicius Junior for Real Madrid, has struggled with a lack of prominence under Xabi Alonso.

With more than a quarter of the season already done and dusted, Rodrygo has featured in less than 500 minutes of action in all competitions, leading to speculation over his future at the club.

The Premier League has been touted as a possible destination for the Brazilian, given the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham held an interest in the summer.

Arsenal no longer interested in Rodrygo

But according to Defensa Central, it appears Arsenal have ruled out the possibility of signing Rodrygo in the upcoming January transfer window.

Although the Gunners were interested in the Real Madrid frontman for a time, the club are no longer in need of a player like Rodrygo.

This is hardly a surprise, as Arsenal were able to beef up their attack last summer by signing Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze. The club also have Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli to boot.

Rodrygo, therefore, is no longer an option for Arsenal, though that doesn’t necessarily mean the Brazilian international has no takers in the market.

As mentioned earlier, Tottenham have been linked with a move for Rodrygo in the past, while various other European clubs would gladly take up the opportunity to sign the forward.

For now, though, it seems like unlikely that Real Madrid would want to part ways with Rodrygo in January, especially knowing that Endrick is already on the verge of leaving the club on a loan deal.
