Arsenal Face Key Decisions Ahead of Leeds Clash

Arsenal prepare for Leeds with injury doubts creating uncertainty for Mikel Arteta. Both Ben White and Jurrien Timber are being assessed after limited involvement in midweek training at the Emirates. Should neither be passed fit, Cristhian Mosquera could make his Arsenal debut at right-back.

Selection Dilemmas for Arteta

Mosquera is a centre-back by trade, but his versatility allows him to slot in on the right. Further complications arise in midfield and attack. Kai Havertz is a major doubt due to a knee injury, missing Wednesday’s session. Christian Norgaard also remains sidelined after sitting out the Old Trafford victory last weekend.

Arteta’s biggest concern is the left-back role. “Riccardo Calafiori did well against Manchester United and scored,” a performance that strengthens his case to start ahead of Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Gyokeres Set for Home Bow

Viktor Gyokeres looks certain to lead the line and is expected to make his home debut in Havertz’s absence. The left-wing position, however, remains uncertain. Both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are struggling for form, opening the door for Noni Madueke to make his full debut.

Predicted Arsenal XI

A 4-3-3 formation seems likely, with Raya in goal, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel and Calafiori forming the back four. Odegaard, Zubimendi and Rice should anchor midfield, while Saka, Gyokeres and Madueke provide the attacking threat.

Kick-off is at 5.30pm BST at the Emirates, with live coverage on Sky Sports. Injuries include Jesus (knee), with Havertz, Norgaard, Timber and White listed as doubts.
