According to Defensa Central, Arsenal are plotting a move for Real Madrid’s rising star Arda Guler and will use their Champions League showdown with the Spanish giants as an opportunity to initiate talks.
As such, the Gunners are reportedly ready to offer €30 million this summer to prise the Turkish playmaker away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
Arteta is said to be a huge admirer of Guler and has tracked him since his Fenerbahce days. Interestingly, their hopes are fueled by the fact that the lack of minutes at Real Madrid might open the door for a potential deal.
From their perspective, it is a low-risk move for a player with high upside—technically gifted, tactically sharp, and already showing signs of maturity beyond his years.
For what it is worth, Real Madrid’s stance is crystal clear: not for sale. The club sees Guler as a long-term asset and is not prepared to part ways with him under any circumstances.
The 20-year-old is under contract until 2029, and his release clause is set at a level that clearly communicates his importance to the club’s future.

Sources close to the Madrid hierarchy affirm there is no consideration of letting him leave—not now, not in the near future.
There is also no indication from the player’s side that he is pushing for a transfer. Guler is fully focused on breaking through at Real Madrid, and his inner circle believes the best place for him to continue his development.
Despite continued setbacks and stiff competition for places, the Turkish star remains committed and optimistic about his trajectory at the club.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s interest is not isolated either. Other clubs, including Real Sociedad and several top European sides, have shown interest in Guler.
But regardless of external attention, the young midfielder has no intention of leaving Madrid.
He is said to possess a strong mentality and has no plans to abandon the challenge of succeeding at one of the most demanding clubs in the world.
Unless something dramatic changes, Arsenal’s €30 million bid is likely to be swiftly rejected. Real Madrid are not just building for the present—they are laying the foundation for the next generation.
