This will be the 15th meeting between the clubs. Arsenal have won six, lost four and drawn four in all competitions, with five wins, three defeats and four draws in their 12 WSL games against United.
After a stuttering start to the domestic season from the current Champions League winners, and some seriously dodgy refereeing against Chelsea, Arsenal’s hopes of winning the title are all but gone.
United currently sit a point ahead of Arsenal in third. If Renée Slegers wants her side in a position to fight for second place and an automatic Champions League berth for next season, this is the sort of match they have to win – along with all those that come before it.
When the sides met in September at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium, they played out a 0-0 draw.
