AS Monaco and OGC Nice 'interested in' Anderlecht’s Mario Stroeykens

AS Monaco and OGC Nice are among the clubs interested in Anderlecht midfielder Mario Stroeykens, 21, according to L’Équipe.

Monaco chief executive Thiago Scuro has said the club want to recruit again this month, even with limited means. The Principality side are monitoring market openings, and Stroeykens may be one of them.

The Belgo-Congolese attacking midfielder is under contract until 2028, but recent muscular issues have curtailed his minutes. He has still featured in 22 matches for Anderlecht, scoring once and providing one assist.

Monaco could face competition, including from their nearest rivals, OGC Nice, who are seeking reinforcements to stave off relegation.

The report also lists Parma and Torino among the Serie A suitors, and says an unnamed English club is in the frame.
