With Kieran Tierney not arriving until the summer it’s a great move by Brendan Rodgers to sign the former Ghanaian international who can play at left back among a few other positions.

During his long career in England with Leicester City and Palace he’s been used in numerous positions such as left back, left wing back, central midfielder, left wing and even centre forward.

Jeffrey has made over 400 appearances down south gaining a vast of EPL experience, and was a member of the Leicester City side who shocked football by winning the EPL title in 2016.

Jeffery is clearly a talented footballer as his versatility suggests. He’s got power and bags of pace, clearly the type of player Brendan admires. He might be 32 but he’s a player we should be glad to have in our squad as we fight on all fronts going into the business end of the season.

We can’t have any complaints about this signing, as he’s a quality proven player. Something we’ve all been crying out for.

As for Celtic coming out of the window stronger than we went in, well as far as our  strikers go we have gone from Kyogo, Idah and Oh to Idah, Kenny and Cummings,  who has rejected Celtic to sign a pre-contract with West Ham.

The reason why Celtic didn’t take the £500k from West Ham this morning for Cummings is that he may be needed over the rest of this season.

But that doesn’t mean we can be successful or that we shouldn’t welcome Jeffrey Schlupp to Celtic.Jeff’s deal is up at the end of the season at Palace so he has every incentive to impress Brendan Rodgers to earn a longer deal.

Have we ever had a Jeffrey before?

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
