Atlético de Madrid have announced the signing of Lee Kang-In from PSG on a contract running to 2031.

The 25-year-old is a South Korea international, having won multiple trophies with PSG and featured at two World Cups. According to Coluna Do Fla, Atlético are paying about 35 million euros.

The move heightens focus on Thiago Almada’s situation, with his future at the Spanish club currently unclear as Flamengo pursue a deal.

Flamengo have begun steps to sign Almada after receiving approval from his camp, and are awaiting the player’s agent in Rio this weekend to advance talks.

If terms are agreed with the agent, Flamengo plan to speak with Atlético, who hold 50% of the player’s economic rights, with the remaining 50% controlled by Eagle.

Meanwhile, Flamengo host São Paulo in the Brasileirão on Sunday, with kick-off at 18:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã. The match will be shown on pay-per-view via Premiere.
