The 25-year-old South Korea international departs Paris after three seasons without earning a regular starting role, though he collected 12 trophies, including the last two Champions Leagues.

PSG thanked him warmly for his role in those European triumphs. He was used sparingly by Luis Enrique, although injuries in autumn saw him play more in Ligue 1, where he was most effective, producing four goals and five assists in all competitions.

Previously at Valencia, Lee had been on Atlético’s radar for months as they sought attacking reinforcements after Antoine Griezmann left for Orlando. He becomes the Colchoneros’ third summer signing after Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand and Spanish full-back Alejandro Grimaldo. His exit follows Gonçalo Ramos’s move to AC Milan.
