Atletico Madrid star Marcos Llorente is a highly successful footballer, but often finds himself in the headlines in Spain for his activity on social media. The tanned adonis of a figure is one of the mainstays of Diego Simeone’s side, and takes a keen interest in public health.
On several occasions Llorente has referenced the idea that skin cancer cannot be caught from getting sunburnt, and regularly shares photos of himself intensely tanned, lying out in the sun in his back garden. He believes it to be a theory peddled by big pharma in order to sell suncream.
Not for the first time, Llorente has referenced the Chemtrail conspiracy theory. Posting on Instagram before flying to Liverpool with the rest of his teammates to face the Reds in the Champions League, the 30-year-old commented on a photo of Getafe celebrating a goal against Real Oviedo on Saturday in which an airplane trail can be seen ‘Fumigated in the second [photo]’.

It is not the first time Llorente has referenced the theory on social media, in the past posting on his story showing the white trails of airplanes, captioned ‘Enough already’, seemingly from his back garden. His partner Patricia Noarbe has also posted about the theory in the past, with the following caption.
“And how many flights today? If you continue thinking that this condensation from commercial flights instead of bioengineering, it’s because you don’t even want to look at the sky, nor the BOE/AEMET or the OMM [weather forecasters].”

The Chemtrail conspiracy is an unproven conspiracy theory that the trails behind planes are in fact the deliberate release of gases or chemicals into the air for bioengineering purposes, weather control, or population control.
