Arouca have reasons to smile before Benfica’s visit on Saturday, with only one player injured.
According to Glorioso 1904, Vasco Seabra’s side returned to work on Tuesday after three days off following the 1-0 loss at Famalicão. The Liga Portugal Betclic fixture, from the 26th round, is set for 20:30. It is significant for Arouca’s survival hopes and Benfica’s title bid.
Seabra should have close to a full group, with positive prospects for Tiago Esgaio and Javi Sánchez to return.
The right-back and the centre-back missed the match in Minho due to late issues. Esgaio picked up an injury in the final training session, while Sánchez travelled but was left out because of an indisposition that has since passed.
Midfielder Pedro Santos is back after a long-term problem. The only name still in the treatment room is Spanish midfielder Mateo Flores, 21, who is not often used.
By contrast, Benfica have four days to try to recover Nicolás Otamendi, Georgiy Sudakov, Dodi Lukebakio and Leandro Barreiro. The quartet finished the Clássico with fitness complaints that are causing some concern.
