Noel Aseko is back at FC Bayern – and can immediately rely on the support of team-mate Tom Bischof, who has even offered him temporary accommodation

FC Bayern made Noel Aseko’s return official a few weeks ago. After a strong loan season at Hannover 96, the 20-year-old is returning to Munich and will now get the chance to prove himself under Vincent Kompany

In sporting terms, the deal was lucrative for all parties: Hannover initially exercised the purchase option of one million euros before Bayern responded as expected with the buy-back clause of 2.4 million euros. The Lower Saxons thus made a profit of 1.4 million euros – but will have to give the midfielder back

For Aseko, settling in at FC Bayern should be much easier – also thanks to his close friend Tom Bischof. The two have known each other for years from the national team and are also close in their private lives

„First of all, Aseko is an outstanding guy who I’ve known for a very long time through the national team,“ explained Bischof. He continued: „I’m simply delighted that a good friend is coming to Munich.“

Shared flat offer from Bischof with restrictions

Bischof also wants to help his friend off the pitch – at least temporarily. „He can stay with me two or three days a week,“ he said with a smile

However, the offer is not completely unrestricted: „I think my mother would object to that, as she is often with me too. That doesn’t quite suit her. But I still have a bed for him.“

Bischof deliberately doesn’t want to interfere in sporting matters. „I’m not going to talk him into it. We’ve just been chatting recently. It was more about funny things and nothing concrete, that he should definitely come or whether it would be a wrong or good move for him. In the end, that’s his decision.“

Nevertheless, he sees his team-mate’s development as extremely positive: „Aseko has developed extremely well and has now made great progress at Hannover. He also plays a bit more offensively and does that very well. Of course I’m very happy that he’s coming back,“ he emphasized and made it clear: „He has the qualities to play for Bayern.“
