The coaching staff at La Liga champions Barcelona have on Monday breathed a collective sigh of relief.
This comes amid confirmation that the injury picked up by midfield star Marc Casadó is not a serious one.
Youngster Casadó for his part set alarm bells sounding in Catalunya’s capital on Sunday evening.
This came after the 21-year-old, after being named in Barcelona’s starting XI to face Celta Vigo, was forced into a last-minute withdrawal.
Casadó suffered a fitness problem during the warm-up at Balaídos, forced to take his place on the bench as a result.
With Pedri and Gavi sidelined, and Frenkie de Jong now suspended, any sort of extended incoming absence for Casadó would in turn have marked a heavy blow.
As alluded to above, however, the Spanish international appears to have avoided as much.
As per a report from Barca insider Carlos Monfort of Diario Sport, Casadó has suffered an ‘adductor strain’.
Crucially, however, it is added that the issue is ‘not serious’, with the midfielder therefore expected to be back fit and available for selection on the far side of the international break.
