Barcelona have received a significant boost in their search for defensive reinforcements, with Real Betis centre-back Natan said to be prioritising a move to Camp Nou above any other opportunity.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian defender has emerged as one of the names offered to Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window. 

More importantly, the report suggests that if Natan decides to leave Real Betis, he only sees Barcelona as the next destination in his career.

The update comes after an impressive campaign from the 25-year-old, who has established himself as one of the most important players in Manuel Pellegrini’s side and played a key role in helping the club secure Champions League qualification.

Natan’s rise over the past year has been remarkable. 

After initially arriving from Napoli on loan in 2024, Real Betis moved quickly to secure his services permanently last summer in a deal worth around €9 million.

Since then, the Brazilian has become a regular starter and one of the most reliable defenders in the squad. 

His performances have naturally attracted attention, with Barcelona among the clubs now monitoring his situation.

The outlet reports that Natan is prepared to leave Betis but only if the move represents a major step forward in his career, and in that scenario, Barcelona are viewed as his preferred destination.

The same report further claims that Betis could consider a sale for a package worth around €30 million, plus an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses.

Interestingly, there has already been movement regarding the player’s future, as his agent, Andre Cury, reportedly met with Barcelona sporting director Deco to discuss the framework of a possible transfer operation.

With four years still remaining on his contract, Betis remain in a strong negotiating position should Barcelona decide to advance their interest.
