La Liga champions Barcelona boast an advantage over the competition in the race for the signature of Levante star Karl Etta Eyong.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Thursday provided the latest on the future of the in-demand Cameroonian.

Frontman Etta Eyong is for his part understood to have made his way onto the radar of all of Barca, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window.

This comes owing to a head-turning haul of nine direct goal contributions in 10 appearances to this point in the La Liga campaign.

It is Hansi Flick’s Barca, though, who are as things stand considered the favourites to land the 22-year-old.

As per a report from MD, Etta Eyong boasts a long-term affinity for the Blaugrana, whom he would seemingly favour as a landing spot over any other club.

Deco and the Camp Nou brass, meanwhile, consider the gifted frontman as the ideal replacement for the aging Robert Lewandowski.

A January move, which would see Etta Eyong pen terms with Barcelona before returning to Levante on loan, is therefore under consideration.
