There are still a few months before the next summer transfer window opens, but FC Barcelona already find themselves being linked with players across the globe.
A new centre-back and a centre-forward are understood to be the priorities for the Blaugrana, along with the permanent signing of Marcus Rashford.
However, the Catalans are always on the lookout for market opportunities to improve the squad.
In that regard, Patrick Berger of Sky Germany reports that Barcelona and Arsenal are among the clubs that have shown interest in the situation of Julian Brandt, who will be a free agent this summer.
The 29-year-old German international’s deal with the Bundesliga club expires on June 30, and he has officially confirmed he will not renew his contract. It means he will be free to sign with any club without a transfer fee.

Having been at Dortmund for seven years and racked up over 300 appearances since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019, Brandt has decided it is time for a new challenge.
The attacking midfielder had two offers from the Premier League in January but opted to stay and see out his contract with the Black and Yellows.
Now, he is on the radars of Barcelona and Arsenal over a potential free transfer in the summer, while a move to Italy is also understood to be an option.
So far this season, Brandt has made 32 appearances in all competitions, registering ten goals and nine assists in the process.
While an appealing prospect, a move to Barcelona in the summer seems rather unlikely, considering that the Catalans already have two quality No. 10s in Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo. Gavi would also be an option once he returns from injury.
As such, there does not appear to be any space for Brandt in the squad at the Catalan club.
