Barcelona slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Girona and gave up their lead in La Liga, leaving Hansi Flick with problems across the pitch. According to Football Espana, the player ratings underline a night of missed chances and defensive lapses.

Joan Garcia, 8, was Barcelona’s standout, producing several vital saves to keep the contest alive.

Jules Kounde, 3, overlapped but his delivery misfired and he remained easy to attack. Pau Cubarsi, 6, headed the opener then erred for the equaliser, while Eric Garcia, 6, battled before going off on 73 and Gerard Martin, 5, offered little before a 63-minute withdrawal.

In midfield, Frenkie de Jong, 4, was subdued and offered little bite. Dani Olmo, 5, won a penalty yet again looked ill-suited to a three, while Fermin Lopez, 4, pressed poorly, snatched at shots and surrendered the ball.

Lamine Yamal, 5, drove at Girona but wasted a first-half one-on-one and a penalty. Ferran Torres, 4, was subdued, with four of nine passes completed in Girona’s half and two shots off target. Raphinha, 7, hit the post twice, made key clearances, and was taken off on the hour as Girona grew.

Subs: Alejandro Balde, 5.5, twice reached good areas without finding a teammate, and Roony Bardghji, 6.5, was lively without the finish. Ronald Araujo, 5.5, almost met a late cross, Robert Lewandowski, 5.5, had a disallowed goal after mistiming his run and little impact in 17 minutes, and Marc Bernal, 6.5, tidied up well.
