Barcelona have good reports on Mora, prioritise move for him

Indeed, according to SPORT’s Joaquim Piera, Barcelona are prioritising a move for Gilberto Mora and have already begun making moves behind the scenes.

The Blaugrana are always alert to exciting young talents coming up and have taken a strong interest in the 16-year-old Tijuana gem, and intend to sign him.

Barcelona have already compiled excellent reports on the player, who has made his debut for the Mexican senior national team, won the 2025 Gold Cup, and could be in the World Cup squad next year.

As already reported, Barça have made contact with Mora’s camp, led by agent Rafaela Pimenta, who has a good relationship with club president Joan Laporta.

Other major European clubs are also closely monitoring the situation surrounding this emerging star.

Among them are Arsenal and Manchester City, both known for targeting young talent, and Barcelona’s arch-rivals, Real Madrid.

Naturally a left-winger, Mora is capable of operating on the opposite flank or through the middle and possesses exceptional technical ability. Strong link-up play, good dribbling skills, and solid finishing make him a very exciting player.

Whether Barcelona are successful in the race for his signing remains to be seen, especially given that he allegedly dreams of playing for Real Madrid.
