Barcelona snap up Polish gem ahead of Espanyol and Villarreal | OneFootball

Barcelona’s commitment to identifying elite young talent across Europe has taken another step forward, with the club securing the signing of highly-rated Polish youngster Kajetan Paweł Goral. 

According to SPORT, the deal has already been completed, with the young midfielder set to feature for Barcelona’s Under-13 side during the 2026–27 campaign. 

The club had been tracking his development closely for some time, and their interest intensified after inviting him to train at La Masia late last year.

A strong scouting

That initial opportunity allowed Goral to experience Barcelona’s playing philosophy first-hand while also adapting to football in Catalonia. 

During this period, he began gaining match experience with local side Mercantil, where he quickly made an impact. 

His performances stood out immediately, earning him recognition as one of the most exciting young players in his category.

In a short span, he has consistently delivered goals and decisive contributions, showing both technical quality and composure in attacking areas.

Goral is widely regarded as a technically gifted midfielder with a natural instinct for goal. 

Meanwhile, his rapid progress has not gone unnoticed elsewhere, as clubs such as Espanyol and Villarreal had also shown interest after his standout displays in regional tournaments, including a memorable performance in Cambrils.

Recognising his potential early, Barcelona acted quickly to secure his signature before competition intensified further. 

The move ensures that Goral will now continue his development within one of the most respected youth systems in world football.

As he prepares to transition from 7-a-side to 11-a-side football, the challenge ahead will be significant. 

However, with his talent and early trajectory, Barcelona will be confident that they have added another exciting piece to their long-term project.
