Barreal to be rested after hip knock for Santos against Red Bull Bragantino

Álvaro Barreal sustained a minor hip knock in training on Saturday at CT Rei Pelé and will be rested for Santos’ Paulistão 2026 meeting with Red Bull Bragantino on Sunday at Neo Química Arena, kick-off 16:00, according to Diario Do Peixe.

Head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda was already without Thaciano, who left the derby with Corinthians with pain in the back of his right thigh. He has a muscle oedema and did not travel.

Gabriel Bontempo, Gustavo Henrique and Tiquinho Soares remain in the treatment room.

Neymar continues his recovery after arthroscopy on his left knee in late December. He is still working indoors, with an expectation of a return at the start of February.

With Barreal absent, midfielder Miguelito should receive his first start since returning from a loan at América-MG last season.
