Bayern ‘increasingly confident’ of securing Kane new contract | OneFootball

Bayern Munich are “increasingly confident” of securing a new deal for Harry Kane. 

The 32-year-old has been in phenomenal form for the Bavarian giants, who remain undefeated in the Bundesliga before the winter break.

Kane has scored 30 goals in all competitions already, and he could break all records at the club if he continues to score in this manner.

Kane joined Bayern in the summer of 2023 from Tottenham Hotspur and took no time in settling in Germany, scoring 44 goals in his first season in all competitions.

In 2024-25, the England striker scored 41 goals, which shows what a prolific goalscorer he has been throughout his career.

Kane has rediscovered himself this season, and his outstanding form has taken Vincent Kompany’s side to a different level altogether.

The striker has a contract at Bayern until 2027 and has repeatedly said he wants to remain at the German club to win more trophies.

Kane was in Denkendorf recently, where he said his heart clearly belonged to FC Bayern: “There’s no place I’d rather be right now.”

“There were no new talks during the winter break. Although I do have to say that Kane was also at the fan club and said he was feeling very confident at Bayern Munich. There are no ideas about making a change. I talked with him after the Salzburg match and asked if there was any fresh news about his contract talks.

“He said no and reiterated what he said at the fan club. He’s very happy at Bayern Munich. We know that the club wants to extend the contract, but there’s no hurry. Kane still has his contract clause until the end of Janaury but he doesn’t want to take it. So, Bayern want to wait until the clause runs out before the next talks. Kane would be happy to wait until even after the World Cup. No changes!

“Remember, I heard when Bayern Munich first made their offer, whilst he was still playing for Tottenham, there was Saudi Arabia calling, and he would have earned well over a €100m had he accepted this deal. Harry Kane flatly refused it and insisted he wanted to go to Bayern Munich to win titles.

“He’s won several at FC Bayern now, and there’s still hope that the striker can win the Champions League with Vincent Kompany’s side. It’s in the DNA of Bayern Munich, and he’s now living it. Whenever you talk with Harry about silverware, he’s always mentioning his desire to win more and more with the club. That’s very much a Bayern thing!”

Bayern have to secure Kane’s new contract

Kane has already scored 19 goals in the 2025-26 Bundesliga campaign and brings much more to the team through his overall contributions.

The Bayern striker drops deep to collect balls and can play out smart passes, and that is why he creates chances for others.

There are no signs of him slowing down, and Bayern bosses believe he can continue this form for a few more years at least.

While Bayern do need another striker, getting the new contract for Harry Kane is vital. The good part is – Kane himself wants to stay.
