Bayern Munich suffered their first defeat of the 2025-26 campaign after they lost 3-1 against Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Harry Kane failed to find the net for the German giants, while Arsenal punished them with their set-piece execution.
A lot of talk has been going on around Kane’s future.

The 32-year-old striker has been enjoying an exceptional campaign for Bayern. He has also suggested many times that he could continue staying in Germany for a few more years.
A return to the Premier League is not in his mind at the moment, but La Liga Barcelona could be interested in signing him, as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Kane said recently: “There’s no rush. I’m really happy in Munich. You can see that in the way I’m playing. If there’s contact, then we’ll see.
“But I’m not thinking about the new season yet. First, there’s the World Cup in the summer. And it’s very unlikely that anything will change after this season. I’m sure I’ll have talks with Bayern in the next few months, then we’ll see what’s best for the future.”
When specifically asked, whether Bayern fans need to worry about his future, he said: “No, I don’t think so!”
Reports emerged recently that contract talks with Kane will begin in January.
Bayern bosses and Kane’s management are likely to discuss a new contract at the beginning of the year. Kane has a £56m release clause in his contract, but it expires in January.
However, our information suggests that talks will take place only after the end of January, when his release clause in the contract runs out.
Kane has been playing at the peak of his form, and he shares a fantastic relationship with the club officials.
The England striker still has two years left on his deal, and it appears that both parties are relaxed about his situation.
