Bayern Munich 'express interest' in Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon | OneFootball

Bayern Munich have an interest in Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon, and a summer move could be possible if a fee can be agreed.

Sky reports that Bayern have formally expressed their interest and made initial contact with the 25-year-old’s representatives. The BBC indicates the player is generally open to the switch.

Gordon’s pace, dynamism and goal threat match Bayern’s search for a left-sided option. He would offer occasional cover for regular starter Luis Díaz and add variety to their attack.

Newcastle are reportedly open to sales this summer due to financial considerations. Even so, Gordon is under contract until 2030 and has no release clause, keeping expectations high.

The BBC reports the asking price is about £70 million, roughly €80 million. That is said to be above Bayern’s limit, closer to €60 million, equivalent to his current market value.
