Bayern Munich will be looking to bolster their attack in the summer transfer window.

Signing a new winger who can also play as striker if needed is their target, and several names have come up already.

It has been reported that Bayern are showing interest in Atalanta attacker Charles De Ketelaere, but such rumours are wide of the mark.

Bayern Munich not pushing for Charles De Ketelaere transfer

The 25-year-old failed to make an impact at AC Milan and moved to Atalanta, first on loan and then it was made permanent.

Last season, he scored 13 goals for Atalanta across all competitions, and while he failed to replicate those numbers, he did impress with five goals to his name.

Christian Falk has told CFBayern Insider that Bayern are not considering a move for the Belgium star, and they have other priorities.

Falk said: “It is TRUE: Bayern Munich are not pursuing Charles De Ketelaere this summer. They are aware of the Belgian, and he’s within the wider focus of the club.

“However, it’s not anything like it’s being reported in Italy, in terms of there also being negotiations taking place. There are no negotiations with De Ketelaere at this point in time. Bayern are currently negotiating with Anthony Gordon, and the talks with Newcastle have already started.”

Bayern focussing on Anthony Gordon

After their transfer success with Luis Diaz last summer, Bayern have once again set their sights on plucking up a top talent from the Premier League.

Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon has emerged as one of their top targets in the summer window, as he fits the bill what Vincent Kompany is seeking.

Bayern have already offered him a five-year-contract, and while agreeing personal terms will not be an issue, the two clubs are wide apart in the valuation of the player.
