Porto have signed 17-year-old goalkeeper Beatriz Carvalho from Benfica B, with the player saying she is very happy to represent the club she holds dearest.

According to Glorioso 1904, the move was confirmed on Tuesday as Porto prepare for their women’s top-flight debut in the Primeira Divisão. The new number 25 returns to the North after starting at Lusitânia de Lourosa, moving to Seixal with Benfica, and also spending time at Cortegaça and Feirense.

At Benfica, her first season in 2023/24 ended with the national junior title, which led to a step up to the B team in 2024/25.

She made her senior debut in January last year in the second division against CF Benfica, keeping a clean sheet.

That display earned her the starting role for 2025/26 with the B side, where she was the most-used goalkeeper.
