Iman Beney is one of 10 finalists for this year’s prestigious Golden Girl award.

Our Swiss forward has made the shortlist largely for her performances at last summer’s Euros where she helped her nation reach the quarter-finals before being eliminated by Spain.

The 19-year-old, who joined City from BSC YB Frauen ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, has been in impressive form in her maiden WSL season, scoring in the Blues’ last two games against Arsenal and Liverpool.

The award, which recognises outstanding talent under the age of 21 from players at top tier European clubs, was first bestowed on Jule Brand in 2022, with subsequent winners Linda Caicedo (2023) and Vicky Lopez (2024).

Established by Italy's Tuttosport, journalists from Europe's top sports papers and websites will vote for the winner.
