According to Fabrizio Romano, Bernardo Silva will leave Manchester City on a free in June, with clubs in Europe, Saudi Arabia and the United States interested.
The development has put the Portugal midfielder on Flamengo’s radar, and defender Danilo recently posted a photo with him on social media.
For now Bernardo is focusing on Manchester City’s final fixtures of the season. He plans to negotiate with other teams before the World Cup, which starts in June in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Flamengo are mapping the market for the rest of the campaign and are likely to seek reinforcements during the World Cup break. After the tournament, domestic competitions tighten.
Bernardo can operate off either flank, which could appeal to Flamengo. The club are awaiting proposals to negotiate Gonzalo Plata after recent internal conflicts involving head coach Leonardo Jardim.
Bernardo worked under Jardim at Monaco and won the French title with him, before joining Manchester City and winning multiple trophies. He is a Portugal regular.
