Arsenal attacker Leandro Trossard is subject to transfer interest from Turkiye, with Besiktas looking to take him from North London, according to Sercan Dikme.
The Gunners have received a formal transfer offer, and the player is reportedly keen on leaving the Emirates Stadium for the Turkish giants.
Trossard has only played a bit-part role for Arsenal this season, with Gabriel Martinelli and Eberechi Eze holding down the left flank.
The Belgian has only played 37 minutes this season.
Even getting a chance at centre-forward is hard with Viktor Gyokeres leading the line and Mikel Merino ready to step in for the Swede.
The writing is on the wall for Trossard, who has been a serviceable player for the Gunners since his move from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023.
Trossard has bagged 28 goals and 23 assists in 125 appearances for Arsenal.
However, he might jump at the chance to strut his stuff at a new stomping ground with the 2026 World Cup inching closer.
He will be eager to play regularly to secure a spot in the squad for the tournament.
The 30-year-old has serious competition from younger wingers and needs to show that he can compete for a starting berth.
Even with the window shut, Arsenal cannot afford to be reactive when it comes to squad building.
If Trossard departs, the team’s depth on the left becomes paper-thin, especially with Martinelli struggling for consistency.
Eze offers dynamism, but Arsenal require another top-level option to avoid predictability in attack and maintain competitiveness across all fronts.
Planning ahead ensures the club is ready to strike early in January or the summer, rather than scrambling at the last minute.
A new winger who brings directness, creativity, and end product is a must for the Gunners. Signing Eze alone does not plug the hole.
