THE MATCH REPORT

Juventus put in a convincing first-half performance, knowing they needed to go all out for victory to secure qualification for the Final Four of the Serie A Women's Cup as the best second-placed team in the groups.

After nine minutes, Abi Brighton tried her luck but failed to hit the target, while in the 17th minute, Stolen Godo scored with a header, making the most of Chiara Beccari's pass and finding the bottom right corner.

The goal was justified given the Bianconere’s good play, as they continued to put pressure on the Napoli defence. In the 37th minute, Beccari was brought down in the box, and the referee had no doubt: Girelli scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-0 to Massimiliano Canzi's side, who went into the break with a comfortable two-goal lead.

In the second half, the visitors tried to shake things up, but failed to get beyond a couple of half-hearted attempts by Hanna Barker and Cecilie Floe, both of which were easily saved by Pauline Peyraud-Magnin.

After an hour of play, Canzi decided to bring on Pinto in place of Brighton, and his choice was rewarded less than ten minutes later. In the 67th minute, it was the Bianconere’s new signing who scored with a header from Estela Carbonell's cross, finding the corner to make it 3-0.

There was still time for Pinto to complete her brace, sealing an important 4-0 that could be decisive in terms of goal difference and potential qualification to the Final Four of the Serie A Women’s Cup.
