According to LaNumer12.com.ar, CONMEBOL has released its official 2026 club ranking, placing Boca Juniors fourth and inside the top 10 ahead of next year's Copa Libertadores.
The ranking will shape the seeding pots for the group stage. CONMEBOL will first draw phases one and two on Thursday 18 December 2025 in Luque, Paraguay, from which a group opponent will emerge for Boca.

Boca will be the only Argentine top seed and will be in Pot one alongside Flamengo, Palmeiras, Peñarol, Nacional, Fluminense, Independiente del Valle and either LDU Quito or Libertad, none of whom they can face in the groups.
The Xeneize return to the Libertadores in 2026. They played the tournament this year but did not get past phase two, going out to Alianza Lima.
