Boca pre-season: Montes joins Deportivo Rincón, ticket details, foreign quota and San Lorenzo talks | OneFootball

Rodrigo Montes has joined Deportivo Rincón de Neuquén after a year training away from Boca’s first team.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the 26-year-old links up with the Federal A side known as the León Patagónico, and his Boca deal also expires in December.

Two friendlies headline pre-season, Millonarios at La Bombonera on Wednesday 14 January, then Olimpia in San Nicolás on 18. An in-person presale for city residents starts Sunday 11 January, with popular tickets at 40,000 pesos.

Williams Alarcón is close to Argentine citizenship, a process that could be completed between late January and February, which would free a foreign slot. In Argentina, clubs may carry up to six foreign players, with only five allowed on each teamsheet. Boca have already used a slot for Marino Hinestroza, due to join in the coming days.

Focus now turns to Alexis Cuello and Gastón Hernández. To sign Cuello from San Lorenzo, Boca must pay 3 million dollars net for the 60 percent held by the club, with Almagro owning 40 percent. San Lorenzo want about 4 million for centre-back Hernández.

Talks had stalled amid San Lorenzo’s institutional crisis, and Boca hope to advance as stability returns under interim president Sergio Costantino.

Boca trained twice on Saturday, with hotel rest between sessions, and will have Sunday off after 9 days of intensive work. Training resumes on Monday.
