Bologna ‘set’ Jhon Lucumí price after rejecting Besiktas bid | OneFootball

Bologna have reportedly rejected an offer from Besiktas and set their valuation for Sunderland-linked defender Jhon Lucumí. Transfer speculation continues to surround the Colombian.

Nicolo Schira reports that the Serie A club turned down a bid of around £12.8 million and are seeking a package close to £21.3 million, with unnamed Serie A and Premier League sides monitoring his situation.

Sunderland have targeted Lucumí for over a year, but Bologna refused to sell last summer despite interest from the Black Cats.

“A year ago, we couldn’t sell him at the end of the transfer window, but we promised him that this year, given a suitable offer, we’d make it happen.” He told Pallone nel 7.

On Wearside, recruitment continues to focus on defensive additions, particularly left-sided and left-footed options, with Premier League, domestic cup and European commitments increasing the need for depth.
