Brasileiro Feminino: Flamengo, Corinthians and Palmeiras open round two

The Brasileiro Feminino’s second round begins on Friday with three fixtures and runs through to Monday. Palmeiras, who lead after an opening win, start away to Grêmio.
According to Globo.com, nine teams won in round one and there were no draws. The Supercopa do Brasil Feminina holders beat América-MG 4-0 to top the table on goal difference.
Friday’s games are Grêmio v Palmeiras at 19:00, Flamengo v Red Bull Bragantino at 21:00, and Corinthians v Fluminense at 21:30.
Saturday features América-MG v Internacional at 15:00 and Ferroviária v Botafogo at 18:00. On Sunday, Juventude host Atlético-MG at 15:00.
Monday closes the round with Vitória v Mixto at 15:00, Cruzeiro v Santos at 19:00, and São Paulo v Bahia at 21:00.
There are 18 teams, who face each other once in the first phase. The top eight progress to single-leg quarter-finals and semi-finals, with a two-legged final, and the bottom two drop to Série A2.
The CBF has increased prize money. Champions receive R$ 2 million, runners-up R$ 1 million, with R$ 720,000 participation and R$ 20,000 per nationally televised match.
