Norwich City have completed the permanent signing of Brentford midfielder Paris Maghoma.

The 24-year-old signs a contract until June 2029 with an option for a further year.

The transfer is subject to approval by The FA and EFL.

Maghoma returned to the Gtech Community Stadium last season after an impressive loan spell with League One side Bolton Wanderers.

However, an ankle injury suffered towards the end of his time at Bolton blighted his start to life back at Brentford and he played just 10 times in all competitions for the west London club.

Maghoma had hoped for a fresh start under new manager Keith Andrews this season, but having missed part of pre-season with a hamstring injury, he continued to struggle for minutes.

The former Tottenham academy graduate joins a Norwich side struggling towards the bottom of the Championship. The Canaries host league leaders Coventry tonight.

On Maghoma’s arrival, Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper said:  “Paris has always been a huge talent with a really interesting profile and we're delighted to welcome him to Norwich City.

"He is a player we’ve followed for a long time and he already has plenty of experience at EFL level, as well as in the Premier League. He’s eager to get going with a new project and he showed a big desire to get this move over the line.

"We believe he has the quality, potential and personality to be a big asset here, and we're all looking forward to seeing him help us move towards our goals and objectives.”
