Brentford are monitoring Mikkel Damsgaard’s fitness ahead of Saturday night’s trip to Leeds United at Elland Road.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, head coach Keith Andrews said the attacking midfielder returned to training after a knock on Monday and will be given every chance to feature.
Damsgaard left the 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers after 72 minutes and missed some sessions this week. He scored two and assisted one in the recent high-scoring win over Burnley.
Brentford remain without full-backs Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey because of hamstring issues. Vitaly Janelt, metatarsal, and Josh Dasilva, knee ligament, are out, while Fábio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo are sidelined for the season with ACL injuries.
Leeds have a clean bill of health apart from the suspended Gabriel Gudmundsson. Brentford arrive in strong away form with wins at Burnley, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Elsewhere in the relegation picture, Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will undergo hernia surgery next week. He has started all 30 of their Premier League games this season, did not begin the first leg of the Champions League last 16 at Atletico Madrid, then came on after back-up Antonín Kinský conceded three inside 17 minutes with two errors. It is hoped he could return within the next month, and rehabilitation will begin immediately.
