For the first time this season, Brentford found themselves behind in a competitive game when Hammersmith Reserves opened the scoring on 12 minutes following a misjudged backpass.
The Bees showed excellent resolve though and, seven minutes before half-time, found the leveller when Emmi Tong fed the ball wide to Marta Boabonay. Her cross picked out Karina Hlek at the back post to score her first goal for the club, tapping home from close range.
They then turned the game on its head on the brink of the interval with Boabonay the creator again, forcing a Hammersmith defender to turn into their own net with another dangerous cross to make it 2-1.
Ryan-Maynard's side had to battle away to hold on to their lead in the second period at Bedfont Sports Club.
The west Londoners put the game to bed on 90 minutes when Boabonay's cross found Kasha Petit, who set the ball back assuredly to Ava Slade, with the forward finishing emphatically to wrap up the three points with her first goal in red and white.
Speaking after the game, Ryan-Maynard said: "We were really pleased with the performances across the board. We played very well and had to bounce back from an early mistake.
"We showed a lot of character during the first half and then managed the game really well to make sure we got the win."
