WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this afternoon.
The 34-year-old midfielder joined Brighton & Hove Albion after leaving Italian Serie A Femminile eBay club AS Roma in summer 2023. Losada arrived at the Sussex club with bags of experience and a history of winning titles. The player has gone on to make 47 appearances for The Seagulls in all competitions, helping the club to climb the Barclays Women’s Super League table in the process.
Losada was out of contract at Brighton & Hove Albion last week and it has been confirmed that she is now moving on.
After the player’s departure was announced, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “I’d like to thank Vicky – both personally and on behalf of the team – for her unwavering dedication to this club over the past two seasons.
“Although we only shared one season here, she played a huge role in helping me settle into the job and was a constant source of support and guidance.
“As a player, her accolades speak for themselves. She’s a commanding presence on the pitch, and her wealth of experience is clear for all to see.
“As a person, she truly embodies what it means to be a captain and a leader – respected and admired by both players and staff, on and off the pitch.
“She epitomises the values we stand for as a club and has been fully committed to driving us forward in our ambition to establish ourselves as a top four WSL side. Her contribution to our historic season last year was nothing short of pivotal, and that achievement will always be a proud part of our legacy.
“We wish her nothing but success in the next steps of her journey and will always be thankful for everything she gave to the club.”
Losada is the ninth player to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.
