Bruno Fernandes injury prompts half-time change before Leeds United trip

Bruno Fernandes suffered what appeared to be a hamstring problem and was withdrawn at half-time against Aston Villa, raising concern for Manchester United ahead of their trip to Leeds United.

He then signalled to the bench for a change, and was replaced by Lisandro Martinez during the interval.

Fernandes has been in outstanding form and maintained his ever-present run of Premier League starts this season by beginning Sunday’s match.

United are due at Elland Road in the second game of the new year, a 12.30pm kick-off on Sunday, January 4, just three days after Daniel Farke’s Leeds travel to Liverpool on New Year’s Day.
