Bundesliga star ‘would be very keen’ to join Barcelona | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund would be interested in making the move to Spain with Barcelona next summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Nico Schlotterbeck as the player in question.

Stopper Schlotterbeck has of course seen his name emerge as an altogether prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona over recent days.

This comes amid mounting reports that those in the boardroom at the Camp Nou have identified the German international as a transfer target for next summer.

Schlotterbeck, held in high regard across the continent, is due to see his contract terms at Signal Iduna Park expire in 2027.

He could therefore become a serious market opportunity with a view to next season.

On the lookout for reinforcements at the back, Barcelona, in turn, have been tipped to launch an assault on the signature of the 25-year-old.

And if the latest word stemming from Spain on Wednesday is anything to go by, then interest in a joining of forces between the parties appears to be very much mutual.

As per a report from Sport:

‘Schlotterbeck would be very keen on the option of joining the Blaugrana club and Hansi Flick has very good reports of him.’
