FC Bayern’s plans for the offensive in the summer continue to take shape – and a name from the internal shortlist has apparently been dropped

According to Sport BILD, Franculino Djú from FC Midtjylland has been removed from the Munich club’s considerations

The 21-year-old striker has been a topic of discussion at Säbener Straße on several occasions in recent months. Shortly before the deadline day in the summer, sporting director Christoph Freund had probably already prepared an offer. At the time, however, a potential deal fell through due to the differing ideas of the two clubs: Midtjylland were pushing for a permanent sale, while Bayern preferred a more flexible transfer structure. At the time, Djú nevertheless remained on the shortlist

Now the situation has apparently changed fundamentally. According to Sport BILD, the attacker is no longer on the German record champions‘ current shortlist of strikers, making it clear that Djú no longer plays a role in their summer plans

Bayern are on the lookout for a backup for Kane

However, another name continues to appear in internal scouting reports. Rayan from Vasco da Gama is still being monitored by Bayern, but is not currently a priority. The 19-year-old is considered a great talent, but is not yet the focus of a concrete transfer

The background to the decisions is the search for a suitable backup for Harry Kane. The English goalscorer is set in sporting terms, but Bayern still want to be more broadly positioned in the nine-man position. They are looking for a striker who fits into the concept both athletically and financially and can be developed in the future. At the same time, much also depends on the future of Nicolas Jackson. A permanent stay of the Senegalese is still considered unlikely, which forces those responsible to sound out the market carefully.
