La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have this week announced an injury setback in the club’s first-team squad.

This comes amid confirmation that defensive star Carl Starfelt is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Starfelt was for his part in from the off once more over the weekend, as Celta Vigo played host to Espanyol in a La Liga clash.

En route to a disappointing 2-0 defeat for the Celestes, however, the Swede was forced into a premature departure from the action.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, an explanation for precisely why has been provided.

As per a statement across the social media platforms of the Galician outfit, Starfelt has suffered a ‘stretching of the biceps femoris muscle of the right thigh’.

The 29-year-old is therefore facing up to a spell of 10 – 15 days on the treatment table, ruling him out of Celta Vigo’s meeting with Barcelona this coming weekend.
