During yesterday’s straightforward victory against Raith Rovers, a small but noticeable detail caught the attention of Celtic fans—the pitch-side advertisement for ‘CelticCompare.com’, featuring an image of Kyogo Furuhashi.
The striker, who was a key player for Celtic, was sold in the January transfer window, yet the club didn’t bring in a like-for-like replacement as the manager said he wanted. While not now a major controversy given the form of both Adam Idah and Daizen Maeda since Kyogo left the club, the pitch-side screens serve as a reminder.
Yang’s best Celtic performance in the Hoops vs Raith Rovers overseen by Kyogo
For those unfamiliar, CelticCompare.com is a financial comparison website that helps users find deals on insurance, loans, and other financial products. While the company has no direct connection to Celtic FC beyond its name, the advertisement featuring Kyogo seemed out of date, given the timing of his recent departure.

The game itself was a routine outing for Celtic, with the fringe player team securing a comfortable win. However, as fans watched from the stands and at home, many couldn’t help but notice the advertisement and being somewhat surprised at seeing Kyogo’s face given he is no longer a Celtic player.

While not a major talking point, it was still something that some fans picked up on social media with one noting that seeing Kyogo face was almost as uprising as Yang putting in his best performance in a Celtic jersey!
Any pressure on the Celtic Board has been eased by one man mostly and that man is Daizen Maeda. Maybe Celtic Compare will replace Kyogo with Daizen Maeda just as Brendan Rodgers has been doing.
