Celtic were looking for a good result going into this one after drawing with Hibs last week, and the Hoops certainly got off to a good start. Within nine minutes, Amy Gallacher found the back of the net, heading it in from an Emma Lawton cross.
The Celts doubled their advantage just after the hour mark as Saoirse Noonan scored on her return. The Irish international has been out injured for four games.
Under 10 minutes later, Gallacher would secure her brace with a powerful finish.
And to round off an enjoyable afternoon for the Glasgow side, Sienna McGoldrick came off the bench to score her first goal for Celtic.
Speaking to Celtic TV after the victory, Elena Sadiku said: “The first half was not good enough. I think the girls had a great response in the second half. We played with our pace, how we can play like fast, one-two touches, play forward. We created enough chances to score more goals.

“I think the subs were really good today. Amy coming in, Sienna coming in, Saoirse coming back, made a big impact on the team when they came in. Came in with energy and you could see what a difference they made too.”
Adelaide Gay made her first appearance for Celtic today, and she kept a clean sheet on her debut.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Gay said: “The team made it easy for me [to keep a clean sheet]and it was just nice to work with the defenders and get to know everybody on the field. So it was a good first field.”
Speaking about her debut, she said: “You can never truly replicate real game situations. Obviously, you get to train with everybody and I feel like I really do know people now but it’s different on the field and just learning people’s tendencies in different types of situations.”
With Glasgow City beating theRangers 1-0 at Ibrox it means that Celtic leapfrog theRangers to go into second place on goal difference with Glasgow City now two points clear with a game in hand. Current Champions Hibs won 5-0 at Hamilton this afternoon and three points behind Celtic and theRangers also with a game in hand, like City due to European commitments.
