This will be a must-watch event between two of Europe’s biggest clubs, both of whom will have ambitions of winning the trophy this season.

Both have won the Champions League in recent years, but they will also be looking to make up for underwhelming European campaigns last term.

Who will come out on top this time? Here’s our look ahead to an unmissable game in the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid predicted line-up vs Manchester City

Real Madrid currently have Trent Alexander-Arnold out injured for this game, but apart from that it should be quite straightforward to guess the team Xabi Alonso will put out.

Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are the main danger men and should start in attack, while Federico Valverde moving to right-back should ensure a starting spot for Eduardo Camavinga in midfield.

Alonso has tweaked his formation on occasion this season, but it’s probably a safe bet that we’ll see something similar to this against City…

Real Madrid predicted line-up: Courtois; Valverde, Carreras, Rudiger, Militao; Tchouameni, Camavinga, Bellingham; Guler, Vinicius, Mbappe.

Manchester City predicted line-up vs Real Madrid

Pep Guardiola has sometimes been accused of overthinking it for big games, sometimes trying strange and surprising new tactics and selections.

Still, based on how his Man City side have been lining up recently, we can probably safely assume that the team more or less picks itself for this one.

Man City predicted line-up: Donnarumma; Nunes, O’Reilly, Gvardiol, Dias; Gonzalez, Reijnders, Silva; Foden, Doku, Haaland.

How to buy Real Madrid tickets

There’ll surely be huge demand to get tickets to this game, with Real Madrid’s official page located here.

One issue with dealing directly with the club, however, is that season ticket holders and members will always be ahead of you in the queue.

How to buy Manchester City tickets

Manchester City fans will likely be familiar with the club’s official page for tickets here, but it would probably be sensible to explore alternatives for such an in-demand game like this.

As is often the case with going directly through the club, you’ll only be behind season ticket holders and club members in the queue for tickets, so we’d highly recommend our link here as an alternative to ensure you don’t miss out on the trip to Madrid.

Real Madrid vs Manchester City head-to-head record

These teams met for the first time back in 2012, but it’s not too surprising to see that they’ve come up against each other a lot since then.

In total, there have been 14 meetings between City and Real, with four wins for the Manchester outfit, six draws, and six teams for the Spanish giants.

This will now be the fifth season in a row that they’ve been drawn against each other at some stage of this competition, though City have not won since that famous 4-0 victory at the Etihad on their way to the treble in 2022/23.
