Champions League play-offs: Juventus, Inter and Atalanta learn possible opponents

The Champions League league phase has concluded, and Juventus, Inter and Atalanta know their two possible opponents for February’s knock-out play-offs. Football Italia reports that all three qualified in the play-off positions and will be seeded in Friday’s draw.

Napoli were knocked out after a 3-2 home defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Inter won 2-0 at Borussia Dortmund to finish 10th, the highest-placed Italian side. They will face the team ranked 23rd or 24th, either Benfica or Bodo/Glimt.

Juventus drew 0-0 away to AS Monaco to end up 13th. They, along with 14th-placed Atletico Madrid, are paired with 19th or 20th, so either Club Brugge or Galatasaray.

Atalanta lost 1-0 at Union Saint-Gilloise and closed the league phase in 15th. They and 16th-placed Bayer Leverkusen will meet the side ranked 17th or 18th, either Borussia Dortmund or Olympiacos.
