The gesture will allow fans to raise a cup or glass ahead of another highly anticipated European tie under the lights at St. James’ Park.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early to soak up the atmosphere, which will also include a live DJ set from Shayne Given, a renowned artist and son of Magpies legend Shay. Turnstiles will open at 6.00pm, ahead of the 8.00pm kick-off with a complimentary drink token will be offered to those passing through turnstiles from 6.00pm, remaining valid until 7:00pm.

Tokens can be redeemed for a free bottled soft drink, tea, coffee or draught or bottled beer/cider (subject to location). The offer is available across the concourse, Platinum Club and Bar 1892, with separate arrangements in place for guests attending hospitality suites.

Newcastle United’s CEO David Hopkinson commented: “Champions League nights at St. James’ Park are about more than football — they’re about energy, belief, and making this place uncomfortable for any opponent who walks out here.

“We need voices raised from the first moment and that shared sense of togetherness that makes our atmosphere so special. We’ve put a few things in place to welcome supporters in early, including a small arrival gesture — now it’s about filling this ground with noise and belief.
